This Privacy Policy applies to the ServerCheck mobile application ("we", "our", or "the App") published on Google Play. It explains how we handle information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

• User-Provided Data: The App allows you to enter server addresses and URLs for monitoring purposes. This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
• Network Data: The App makes outbound connections to the servers and websites you configure, solely to check their availability. No results or addresses are sent to us.
• Crash Logs: The App may generate local crash logs stored on your device to help with troubleshooting. These are not automatically uploaded anywhere.

How We Use Information

• All monitoring data stays entirely on your device.
• We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
• Internet connectivity checks are made to public DNS servers (e.g. Google DNS, Cloudflare) solely to verify your device's internet connection status.

Permissions Used

• INTERNET: Required to reach the servers and websites you monitor.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows monitoring to resume automatically after your device restarts.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required to send you alerts when a server goes down or recovers.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / WAKE_LOCK: Keeps background monitoring running reliably.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM: Ensures checks run at precise intervals even in battery-saving modes.
• REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: Allows the app to request exemption from battery optimization so monitoring is not interrupted.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The App has no analytics, advertising SDKs, or external data collection of any kind.

Data Security

All data (monitor list, history, settings) is stored locally in your device's private app storage and is not accessible to other apps.

User Rights

You may uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored data. There is no account or server-side data to delete.

Children's Privacy

ServerCheck is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
